ANOTHER CYCLIST HIT ON CARROLL & COLUMBIA!

Just in! 12:45pm.

So, two cyclists have been struck on the same corner in less than a month. A young girl in a Hyundai traveling south on Columbia Street hit what appears to be a delivery guy (big delivery basket on his bike). Judging by the huge body size dent in her windshield, he was riding north on Carroll Street attempting to cross over Columbia when the accident took place. The cracked windshield and screech marks on the road also suggest a pretty big impact and I don’t think the cyclist was riding all that fast.

Again, a stop sign or a light needs to be put at this corner or the street needs to turn back to one way traffic. People drive way too fast down that street and the visibility is practically zero when trying to turn onto or cross it. Car, bike, scooter, feet, whatever your mode of transportation, it’s scary.

This is the worst I’ve seen it and it’s only going to get worse with IKEA coming. Everyone needs to pay more attention and the city really should do something before more people get hurt.
